Mentoring

What Mentoring Means to Me

As an Aggie, a veteran, and a lifelong learner, I believe mentorship is more than guidance—it's a relationship rooted in trust, mutual respect, and shared purpose. I’ve walked diverse paths—from the deck of a Navy vessel to doctoral research labs—each chapter shaped by mentors who challenged me, supported me, and believed in my potential. Now, it’s my turn to pay it forward!

Who I Mentor

  • Veterans transitioning into civilian or academic life

  • Students entering STEM fields (especially engineering, AI, and education)

  • First-gen college students navigating higher education

  • Aspiring cross-cultural scholars interested in U.S.-Europe STEM education

What You Can Expect

Mentoring with me is casual, direct, and purpose-driven. I meet people where they’re at. Whether you're looking to:

  • Write a stronger resume

  • Navigate college or military benefits

  • Understand engineering concepts in plain English

  • Explore how AI can enhance your learning or teaching

  • Figure out what comes after graduation

…I'll help you make a plan, find the resources, and build the confidence to take the next step.
